My coworker Roland thinks he can beat me in the 1/4 at Lone Star in a couple weeks with just 305 ET Street radials and an aluminum DS.

Why is he unwilling to run 1/8 mile at HMP this weekend?

    He has a 650+ rwhp A8 hellcat

I have a 70 year old ford with a home made turbo setup based on a 295k mile Chevy motor.

I have about 1000 less lbs but also 150 less HP

Everybody wants to say they can beat a Hellcat. It's no big deal. When I was 5 years old I figured out there is always something faster out there.......

I am sure he can beat me in the ¼, the question wasn't really about that, it was more about why he doesn't want to run in the ⅛

Unfortunately HMP will be probably be under water on Sunday night, so we won't find out.

The loser has to buy breakfast for everybody at work, so this is a big deal…

IMO the Hellcat has pretty tall gearing and getting 4400lb to move off the line takes some doing. So in the 1/8 it might struggle. 1/8to 1/4 the Hellcat is getting into its stride
