After 1500 miles on the HC, I'm thinking maybe 1000 HP would be satisfactory. Dodge will/can you do this?? !2018?
Don't get me wrong, I'm pretty content with 707 around town, but what about spinning in 3rd and 4th? - at low rpms? The easy power we all crave that doesn't require pedal to metal.

I'm thinking 1000 would be spot on. What do you think, or is this never ending?

HP is easy. A drivetrain that can handle it for 100k miles is the hard part.

    Right you are.
The 392 a perfect example. S/C's were layed down by the aftermarket and pistons failed, clutches, axles, diffs, transmissions.
Dodge made the HC to accommodate 707
May it happen again for 1000 HP

Don't you mean: 1000 HP is a good starting place before you wanted 1200 HP?

Yes, 1,200 hp is totally inadequate. Bugatti is already delivering 1,200 horsepower and 1,106 lb-ft of torque, so anything less than 1,300 horsepower would be an epic fail for Dodge. I'm thinking a nice round number like 1,500 would make a respectable mid-level bump with a limited edition 2,000 horsepower top-of-the-line model. Oh, and bring back the 100,000 mile warranty while they're at it.

    :D

Wouldn't the easiest thing for Dodge to do is re-engineer or duplicate technologies similar to the Bugatti? I get there are patents, copyrights, and trademarks exclusive to different automakers, but they all have similarities to some degree that can't be patented by just one company.

You're just giving this too much thought.

    Man's gotta dream.
And you ain't dreaming Horsepower unless it's at least four digits!
