hey guys. When the hellcat was first hitting the streets in Detroit, I heard a lot of guys running stock cars with 109 fuel. Guess it was supposed to bump timing? What's the story on this... Does it do anything? Any hurt to the car?

    thx guys

Not much benefit for gas over 93 octane unless you tune for it. But if you are worried about the quality of you fuel then adding some 109 in would help reduce knock if you have any.

speedycat is right, in my cat it did help with a slight drop in e.t. about 1/10 and a bump in mph about 2 mph. 50% load fuel, computer will not sence knock, computer(s) would alow more adv.

On a stock tune 109 mixed 50/50 just makes up for the any bad 93 in your local pump. Gets you all the 93 tune available. You need to up the tune to take advantage of MS 109.

i run 109 sometimes, helps w about 2 tenths at the track.
u must put equal amounts of pump gas in or more or car might go into limp mode
    for example 5 galons 109 w 6 of 91/93 shouls be fine.
if goes into limp mode u then must drive around and burn gas off
also give car 10 minutes of driving to get used to the 109 in system before racing.

Did you have issues running straight 109? I have ran it my HC and 2013 SRT and never had any issues. Never heard of anyone having issues running straight 109...you are talking about VP MS-109 which is 105 octane unleaded?
