hey all, new here, lookin around for a hellcat. Found a black 1 in stock near me, they are asking $10k oversticker. I have asked them to email me the window sticker because it seems the car only has the option of auto and nav? 10k mark up would mean it's a 66k car which it doesn't appear to be thiugh Im not sure.

Anyways , my question is those who have bought a car where they were asking 10k over have U been able to negotiate much off? The dealer says he is happy to "work with me" and the markup is negotiable, so I'm sure they will come down some, just trying to see if anyone got them down to like 1-3k over sticker.

Thanks and good luck to everyone

Here's how you negotiate. Tell them you understand the allocation rules and that the "days on lot clock" is ticking. If they would like to get other Hellcat cars and not have a customer report a "bad user experience" to SRT, to start dropping the price

Plus at MSRP, I believe they are already making around $4,500 already. I'm sure somebody knows the amount.

What does "days on lot" mean actually when it comes a mark up, so I sound like I know what in talking about. As for allocations if they sit on car to long while it's marked up they can't get allocations in future ?

Ask them if it's such a hot car and everyone wants one, why has it been sitting on their lot for "about 2 weeks". Let them know that you are a solid buyer at MSRP and not a penny over. Stand firm. There are other cars out there at MSRP, and there will be more as time goes on. Stand firm. Don't let your emotions talk you into paying their mark-up. And post pictures when you bring the car home.

If they don't sell the car on the lot, they don't get any more. It's been posted here many times. Days on lot means how many days the car has sat there unsold. They know what it means. Can you post the dealer name and VIN of the car? Maybe someone here knows something about them or the car.

Most of the dealers marking up 10K + dont care if they sell or get another one. They have them in the showroom bringing in all kinds of people to the lot kicking tires on sxts and minivans. When the hype wears off they will get MSRP or the owner or sales manager will have a new car.

Perfect I will tell them. So it's a $63,775 MSRP car they just sent me the window sticker. So they are marking it up by 12-13k. Unreal. I will offer them MSRP.

I know. But when Dr SS leaves without a deal he then calls SRT and says

I understand the dealers can charge whatever they want and Dodge has no control over that. I was at XXX dealer and they had a car with a Xx markup. I tried to negotiate, but didn't get anywhere. My salesman was XXX. I just wanted to report my unsatisfactory experience from a potentional buyers prospective.

    They will listen

Well I was emailing back and forth and then somebody called me from dealership. Said he will give me the car for 7k over MSRP. Lol. Down from 13 over.

I said , look MSRP and ill come get it now, I live 10 min away, it's sitting on UR lot and UR not going to get more allocations as the number of days it sits on UR lot.

I said im not paying over MSRP, and you have my info and know where to find me if U reconsider.

He said thanks, and that he will let me know if anything changes .

I am in IL. I am looking for a hellcat @ MSRP Thats in the low 60's, that's an A8. I'm flexible on colors, but prefer sublime/granite/white/black/blue/red from greatest pref to least
