I just checked and here is what I could see...

The Hellcat OE version is 4 lbs heavier (probably more stout construction)
The Hellcat OE version is 0.1 inches narrower
The Hellcat OE version is made in MX vs the other tire which is made in DE

I'd spend the extra $$ and get the one that is meant for the Hellcat.

Agree with the age question. 3 years = a lot of deterioration, although nowhere near as bad as if they were stored outside.

Tire companies generally warranty a tire for weather checking on a tire for 4 years from date of MFG. Other things like workmanship are covered longer. The longer a tire sits the hard the rubber becomes and it will actually wear longer. The tire size may be the same but check the Load index on the side of the tire. The Hellcat weighing more than say a Mustang would have a higher load index so it could carry the weight of the car.

You need the proper speed rating for the car too...

I agree a few days after the price dropped over the summer I bought 4 more. They are in a rack in the garage ready to replace the set that came with the car when needed.

MX means those tires are made in Mexico. DE are made in Germany. Most tire manufacturers say to replace the tires after the sixth and some say up to the tenth year after the manufacturing date. Since these tires have been stored, hopefully in Tire Rack's warehouse, they should be fine for the next two years at a minimum. Which on a Cat is about right. The max load and speed rating are identical. The differences are manufacturing plant, weight and tread width. The tires on sale for 138.20 are the same tires they sell for 397.25 but are 4 years older.

I'd buy some as well, but I've already got 4 on the shelf that I found on eBay for cheap. They were take offs from a guy that put custom wheels on his cat right after he got it.
