my post about my hellcat vs z06 got deleted.. Maybe it was too much to show
Of course lol.
Just ask the admins. They are cool and are honest with you. They are there for reason there to help. They've always been there for me when I had an issue and I'm sure they will give you a straight answer. What's all admit that they let somethings slide and their job isn't easy
It probably caused some of the members here a lot of grief to see a Hellcat lose.
BODUKE may be right, but that would make our collective skin a little thinner than I thought...oh well, yet another mystery to solve...
Hey guys, I just went and looked it up. Didn't have anything to do with a Hellcat losing (I did not watch the video), but the post got deleted during the night because of the illegal street racing content. Not allowed on the forum, and the Admin/mods delete them as we find them.
"Illegal street racing content"? That is what a vast majority of the members of this site do, and now we can't talk about it? Not sure if I should laugh or cry.
I understand that this is a sore spot for many, but I do not make the rules. Don't misunderstand, I am not being a smart ass when I say this, I am serious ... if you want to open a dialogue for possibly changing some of the forum rules, please send a PM to cerealkiller. The moderators are volunteers, and we have no say in what rules are in place.
A lot of forums forbid the mention of street racing. The track is the best place to show how fast your car is. I suspect its ok to post track videos?
We have clearly outlined our position on ILLEGAL street racing and it can be found in the Racing forum. It states:
If people want to engage in illegal street racing and breaking local speed laws have at it, but HC.org will not enddorse and/or support that behavior. Safety first ladies and gents.
You want to autocross, drag race and road race on sanctioned closed courses LEGALLY...share that stuff all day long. We highly encourage it.
Would you guys go out and get falling down drunk and post it? Both street racing and drunk driving are illegal and dangerous to everyone else on the road. BoDuke is right, have at it on the track, where everyone around you is expecting racing to occur. Why put it up on Al Gore's World Wide Web that he invented and so graciously let's us use? Ok, I'm climbing down off my soapbox now.
Speaking of street racing, has anyone heard any reports regarding the idiot street racing a Hellcat Challenger in Detroit that killed the woman about a week ago? The courageous driver jumped out and ran, leaving the woman he T-boned to die and his own passenger with a broken arm. Have they caught this stand-up guy yet?
Anyone that thinks street racing, roll racing, whatever you want to call it, is ok, put yourself in the shoes of that woman's family and walk a mile or two. Still think it's ok?
Make no mistake, I believe we are all adrenalin junkies and have a need for speed! That said, keep it on the track. Well preped surfaces (in most cases) safety teams, guard rails and safety rules in place... Well documented performance stats. A great way to measure your driving skills! Love reading track posts with ET slips attached. I hope I can crank out some 10.8 runs...
Yet we bought a car that will go 200mph.
No word on the drivers arrest. I have been following very closely. They did say the Hellcat wasnot stolen.
