What a difference driving, everything's 18 degrees cooler in open air. Now if I could come up with something that generates pulse width to turn fan on earlier. IMG_20150703_195524.jpg

    B5,

Installing a cooler thermostat is an old trick that helped with carb engines, will the car throw a code if it does reach operating temp in a given time that the computer is looking for?

I know that I'm old, helps many things. No code that's for warm up no issue there.

Take the plastic off your screen and the stickers off your VCR (yes I know you still have one) old man.

Does anyone know why Dodge Engineers had this engine running at 210-220 range? There must have been a reason.

I know you have tuning capabilities DrB, and please excuse my ignorance here, but how are you adjusting the fan run temp?

    Thanks!

But what are you using to do the tuning? I thought there wasn't a handheld unit out yet; so are you on a laptop tweaking a cracked ECU or something? I am not underestimating you, just curious as to how it is getting done. I really want to let my 'Cat run cooler with all the commuter driving I do and I know if I just install a 180 Tstat that won't help without the fans readjusted.
