Not bad, I can only get 1.78ish sixty at my local track. The video is private.

Great time. I love the 60 ft. I have a best of 12.4 with my street tires. I would be thrilled with getting that low on slicks. Still waiting for my wheels to be built.
What tires and rims do you have?
I am still new to drag racing. Why does mph go down with slicks? Is it due to soft sidewalls?

Idk why i cant post the links to the wheels and tires. Stella helped me out a ton with that. Im sure he will post in here soon with what setup we both have. The rims are wheel replicas 17 inch mustang wheels. the slicks are Hoosier 28x10s i believe.

A lot of the guys at the track when they come look at it afterwards can't belive its a stick car. I've been knocking off some good seasoned racers even back when i just had my all season stock tires. I guess i can bang the gears pretty quick haha.

Remember...it's not the arrow, it's the indian. Great job with a manual!

I spoke with Stella too. I am guessing you got fr500 mustang wheels. Again that's a sweet pass. What times were you making on the stock tires?

Yup those would be them. My stocks my very very very 1st run ever was a 12.7. I quickly after a couple passes was down to 12.5. Got some mickeys drag radials and i was down to 12.3 and 12.0. With these Hoosier its almost impossible not to be in the 11s. I missed 2nd gear and still managed an 11.98. I got rained out yesterday but if i hadn't i think i woulda nailed 11.5 or better for sure. I found my sweet spot to launch is right around 3500 to 4000 rpm. Don't completely dump the clutch but don't ride it out too long either. I basically just acted like 3500 was 0 and i was just pulling out then mashed the gas.

Thanks for the info. Good to know you also were running dot's and are faster with slicks. Everything I was told is the DOT tires are faster.

My trap speeds were a little higher with the DRs but quicker with the hoosiers. I need some skinnys up front because these stock rims and tires weigh a friggin ton! Until then ill just pump them up to 40-42 psi to get a little less rolling friction

Thing is sweet, and hauls serious @ss for an auto. Fits perfectly in the back of my van with my tires and jack.
