If they handle these cars like most diesel trucks, I'm guessing very few dealers bother draining the cooler. Any 80% change, leaving what's in the cooler and lines alone, is considered the norm in many shops.

If you had to show them where it was, did you watch them perform the work?

Watch the fill level...some still info at the dealership that 6.2L takes 7 qts which would overfill it.

Never a good start to a service ...

Don't have the 6.2L myself, but I suspect draining vs. not draining an oil cooler probably pushes that quantity up or down by a quart or two.

Nope draining the cooler does not impact the required oil to fill the system.

I believe measurement from draining oil cooler was between 10 and 11 ounces. 2/3 of a court.

With oil cooler draining, mine took 6 qts to fill to full line.

The tech that works on my cars warned me about the oil cooler plug. He said it was never mentioned in his training and he hadn't had an HC in for an oil change but to his credit said he would find out for me (I change my own oil).

Negative. 10-12 oz approx. My GT500 had an oil cooler and no drain. They just filled cooler-equipped cars 1/2 qt more at the factory and left that little bit in there. Ford didn't see a need to drain it. Personally neither do I

Wow, that's pretty good. I had an oil cooler on another car back in the day, and between the lines and cooler, it definitely took over a quart. If you drained it, you'd have to fill the crank case to the line, run the car to pump some oil thru the cooler, and then top off with another quart or more.

I measured the amount when I drained my oil cooler. It was 11 ounces.
