Well - I had my original HellCat on order for 11 weeks and finally it will be delivered next week in Charlotte NC. I became impatient about 4 weeks ago and was lucky to find one on a lot in SC (exactly what I wanted) and I drove it home. I have already put 2500 miles on it, best car I have owned - kudos to Dodge.

So my dilemma is, should I sell my soon to be delivered cat or sit on it in my garage and wait for it to appreciate?

    Any recommendations ?

I think right now would be an ieal time to sell with demand as it is.

Given your situation and the market demand, I would sell it.

since your other thread got closed down, i'll reply here.
why not just pass on your allocation to another member. won't make any money on it but you'll get a warm fuzzy inside.

You should buy the order unit. Otherwise you just took a car away from someone else. You really should have cancelled the order after you bought one if you didn't intend to buy both.

I'd sell it now while the market is hot. The ideal way would be to pass your allocation on to someone else so that they are purchasing a "new" car instead of "used". If it sits in your garage, you'll still have to maintain some type of insurance coverage on it and provide at least some other "basic" maintenance on it which will have to be subtracted from what you think you might get at sale down the road. It might be awhile before you start seeing appreciation on these cars, if ever. Even the most rare exotics generally initially depreciate over time. If you wish to be a philanthropist, hang on to it, but don't count on a tax break in return for your philanthropy.

Yep, that's why we have two. :) That said, if you're getting rid of one, definitely try to pass it off to a forum member!
