have access to 2015 hellcat now at a comfortable price. Do I take it or wait for the 2016 model which is a bit pricier

Like my pa always used to tell me: "a girl in the hand leads to two in her bush".
I think that means take what you can get, now, rather than taking your chances on a 2016.

2015... lower price by at least $4,200 with the new announced 2016 price increase right?
    The 2015 has the better warrantee 5 year / 100,000 mile vs the new 2016 with a 5 year / 60,000 mile.
2015 has some bugs as it is 1st year but it is the 1st year car!
2016 depreciation may not hit you as quick but its a Hellcat so who knows what the values will do!
If you live in Canada or up north you only have a few more warm months to drive a rear wheel drive car with summer tires right? You may get your 2016 in January or not at all!
I say get that 2015 a plan a road trip before the summer is over as we are not promised tomorrow.

Concern is that the color and seats on the 2015 are not my preferred choice whereas the 2016 I chose the options and color myself. Granted I may be looking at about 6-8 mo this for the 2016 to be delivered. Read also that the UConnect in the 2016 has been improved

Color and seats are a big deal. Choosing your options is also nice. I say order what you want.

Obviously this is your decision...but... You are now buying a year old model that has depreciated quite a bit before you even spend a single dollar for it.

If it has everything that you want, color, options, etc, and you will be happy with it...go for it. Otherwise, I'd order a new one exactly the way I want it...

    Just my opinion...

I don't agree on depreciation part because hellcat hasn't depreciated yet .. may be in the next 2-3 years (But if the prices kept going up, it'd make up for that)

In my experience, the last year model depreciates as soon as the next year model comes out.

Yes but it would take at least 1 more year before you see that in hellcat due to demand and supply. Also, Hellcat increased base prices plus options/upgrade prices so 2015 prices got bumped due to those options. (FYI - I've 2016 on order)

Take the 15, order the 16, then trade the 15 At least you will have something.

Do you really want to wait 6 to 8 months? Most people can't and I waited nearly 12. I would not do that over again. I would cruise the lots put my name in with about 2 dozen dealers with my option list (a flexible one) and they can call me when they get a car. Especially if the supply chain is doubling up to 14000 cars produced for 2016.
