The 2016 Chevy Camaro Definitely Looks Different - Yahoo Autos

We all figured a new Camaro was on the way, and we all knew it was going to be something different. But not until this first teaser image you see here did we know just how different.

From the blurry teaser, you can see that the new Camaro loses a lot of its signature retro lines. The front end looks more aggressive— and much like a Mustang, if we’re being honest. There’s a bigger spoiler on the back, and the whole car looks much smaller than what we’re used to in a Camaro.

We won’t know anything for sure until it debuts in New York next month. But if this teaser is any indication, it should be something to look out for. As for the other cars in the image— Spark, Volt, Cruze and Malibu, all debut this year as well.

Looks like they are progressing backwards. Didn't they already do that design? Looks like a camaro and a caprice got busy

Looks "spiky" in the front (is that a word?), maybe kinda cool. I'll look forward to seeing more detail in the future.

I love my Black 2013 SS (6sp manual, stock with gated exhaust, CAI and tuner) before they changed the lights (definitely not as much as my CAT though by a huge long shot!) .

I'm not down on any manufacturers myself and the Camaro is a blast to drive, just a totally different feel than my CAT, but still a lot of fun.

If I could totally have my way (spouse and $ wise), I'd have a garage like Leno with all kinds of makes and models! Tons of fun rides out there...

Regardless of the outside, that interior needs some attention (read: complete redesign, they failed the first time) BADLY!! That's my biggest beef with the 5th gen, is that godawful hideous interior. The gauges and that center stack....just what the hell were they thinking?

Other than that, I'd love a current ZL1. I'll hold off judgment on looks for better pics and seeing in person.

I can't possibly be uglier than the current generation Camaro. I think the dude that designed the AMC Pacer and Gremlin rose from the dead to design the current Camaro. That thing is butt ugly!

id like it if they went 1970 retro for the new camaro..there was talk of it....dimensions would be difficult for 2015

retro is done...the challenger is alone.....retro has been done for a couple of years with just a couple hangers on...

im glad to see a new design....i do agree i see a bit of that 1998 in the front end

if Chevy doesnt answer Dodges HC the Camaro crowd will be forever depressed.....i know Ford will answer at some point...i suspect the GT350r will be impressive at the drag strip with its 8,000rpm+ engine.....and im sure a quadruple turbo gt500 will arrive eventually...maybe a v6 like the new Ford GT

at some point the Challenger will change to a modern look.....im amazed sales keep going up when its 95% the same looking car as 2008....Dodge has gotten away with doing almost nothing until 2015.....the Mustang changed every other year......the Camaro is just as bad as Dodge though......cant see why anyone would buy one right now......its become lame
