Would like some feedback from those who have a 2016 Challenger SRT Hellcat on order. What have you pre-negotiated? MSRP? MSRP + $5K?, MSRP + $10K? etc.

My Dealer is standing on $10K over MSRP. Curious if second round allocations in February will have lower premiums, as the units will double from 2015 and hard up, cash ready buyers are satisfied and dwindle.

    Thanks in Advance,

Find another Dealer. Be willing to go out of State. Lot's of HC's listed here on this forum. List on this thread the options and colors you want.

So what would be acceptable then? Are half the '16 Challenger HC's on order at MSRP?

Pricing is determined by the dealership selling the car. Try to find a dealership that is willing to sell at MSRP.

    Michigan.
Unfortunately, He has a waiting list that far exceeds his allocation for 2016.

Pretty interesting thread...well a little bit anyway.

If you really want a Hellcat and you really believe the 2016 is a far superior build, and you really think that going through the dealer allocation process that the majority of dealers, not FCA, have missed handled by not following the rules clearly described by the manufacturer, and you really have to have a specific color and/or option combination...then you are a candidate to join the long line of unhappy VON owners (which has the same "worth" as voucher; a kiss and a promise...if you're not D1, you're not in the game).

Yes. You can hold out for that sweet MSRP deal that is nearly as scarce as a confirmed Big Foot sighting, or you can dig and work and flush out a 2015. They are out there and on the road...with a VIN. It's a halo car. You're going to pay. Otherwise, for a high percentage of the majority, even though they put themselves in a "happy place" regarding their position on multiple dealer lists for "the one", it will reflect this forum membership...woulda, coulda, shoulda..."talking" and commenting in near-absolutes about a vehicle they hope to have.

Look...my deal pretty much sucked, but I went into it with eyes open. You either want the car or you don't. Clearly I am no rocket scientist and I was a lousy negotiator...but I got what I went after. I didn't wait for the stars and planets to align. Call me stupid if you will...I'm just passing on one man's opinion. While your shaking your head, there is one other thing you can call me...a Hellcat owner.

MSRP isn't hard to find. Just do your research and look around. My want for this car only started a month or so ago and only took about a week of serious looking to find a 16 allocation order for MSRP. I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to cars/car buying etc.. so if I can do it, anyone can.

Rock on...welcome to the "experience". Looking forward to hearing about your VIN and zero ADM at purchase!!!

Don't get me wrong there are DEFINITELY more ADM's than MSRP's but the statement from dodge about the hellcat pricing was to punish the dealers who did ADM's by not giving them allocations. It seems like most people on this forum got it for MSRP at some point or didn't care about price and just wanted the car right then and there.

I ordered my car and got everything I wanted except the Black Satin Hood (now I'm glad that I didn't get that...a real PITA to care for) and a sunroof. I paid MSRP. There are some honest dealerships out there (they still make a good chunk of change even at MSRP) who won't gouge you. Do your homework and you'll get what you want at a "fair" price. It won't be easy, but you can do it if you're determined. With the glut of overpriced 2015's on EBay, etc. I suspect that the price will dive once the 2016's start rolling off the line.

I personally think that with the year model price increase on the 2016's. The 2015's will still hold their value even for the people that paid 5-7500 over.
