Noticed after taking delivery 6 weeks ago my Cat, which was driven to me by dealer, would jerk or feel like transmission slip when under moderate pedal. It would stop as car warmed up. Noticed it before I had ever needed to put fuel in so maybe was at a 1/4 tank. Now it is down to about a 1/4 tank again and this evening within 3 minutes of a cold start, again under moderate accelleration it acted up. This time it sounded like it was misfiring each time I gave it pedal. It doesn't seem to do it once it is warm

    Ideas ?

Out again today. Car did same thing 2-3 times within first 30 minutes of driving. I think it is trans slip. Seems to happen with moderate pedal at about 50, Kept driving for an hour never happened again. Will take it in for service if it becomes steady.

Have the dealer check the fluid level in the trans.

Need a hoist as there is no dipstick.

Symptoms seem to be low fluid...imho

Remember, trans fluid expands when heated, so symptoms tend to go away.

    Good luck
