I just purchased a new 2016 challenger hellcat. I don't want to use the suggested area for my front plate -does anyone have any suggestions what I can purchase etc?

Here is what I did and you can see the link. I feel its better than what is commercially available in terms of not drilling even one hole and least stress on your lower grille. If done right, nothing touches your paint either.

So can you provide specifics on where you purchased this and the install setups etc?

That is what I used. I have had no problems with clearance whatsoever. My Nephew's driveway entrance is very steep, and approaching at even a slight angle eliminates any contact. I have had a Sto-N-Sho for almost a year now with no problems, and no ticket for not displaying a front plate.

the show-n-sto only takes away about 1/4" to maybe 1/2" of clearance. No problems yet. Love it! Only way to go. Besides, the Hellcat's front splitter is lower than 90% of all parking blocks anyway.

I use this too. It works great.

It uses one existing screw into the plastic belly pan and two additional screws (supplied with the bracket) into the plastic belly pan.

Glad it worked out for you all. However just the thought of a metal license plate digging into the front fascia paint if something goes wrong makes me cringe. I guess I'm one of those those better safe than sorry types ... LOL.

This bracket attaches to the belly pan and does not touch the front splitter.

Thanks, but I meant if it gets hit from underneath by something and somehow comes lose etc. Maybe I just worry too much.:)

I've scraped the bottom of my NYS plate numerous times using the sto-n-sho with just the existing bolt. If it was going to come off, then it would have by now. If you hit something hard enough to break it then your hitting something hard enough to destroy your bumper also.
