The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is going to get the Hellcat treatment and everyone knew it was just a matter of time before the engine found itself in more engine bays. Pricing is said to start at $65,000, but we are thinking that will be for the base model (see below) A mid 2016 release is expected for all Trackhawks.
The base 475-hp Trackhawk models will come with the naturally aspirated 6.4-liter V-8 that is used in the Grand Cherokee SRT ($65,000?)
With that said welcome to the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk forums!! Who's trading in or adding one to their garage?
She sounds like an absolute beast. Gonna be a thing of beauty, for sure.
That having been said, I can envision a great many of them getting stuffed into corners or rolled on a grade by drivers who lack sufficient respect for (or knowledge regarding the handling / dynamics of) the vehicle. Will be a very interesting model to follow...
The interesting thing is that the Hellcat GC will be only a one year model on the current design. If the 5-year plan is any indication.
1- Considering the AWD setup, I wonder if it can break into the 9sec 1/4mile.
2- With Charger/Challenger Hellcat capable of 200mph, I wonder if GC can retain the same feature.

Drove one on the SRT Exp.....preferred choice on the auto-cross....if your interested in track racing (multi-cornering)..it might be an option, after you get over the center of gravity issue...LOL
I love driving the SRTGC on the track experience. For a 5000lb vehicle, that thing handles amazing. I think it was the 2nd fastest one around the track behind the 300. I always forget if it went Jeep/300, or 300/Jeep
I can only imagine the carnage that would occur were a 707HP ute to be offered to the general buying public. Such a vehicle had better come with a gyroscopic AHRS system and a sea anchor to keep the greasy side down, or we'll see multiple attempts at setting the world record for number of complete rolls in a fatal crash sequence before the first month is up.
Haha, probably one or two, just like the Challenger. But have you driven an SRTGC on the track? That thing will pull a G in the turns and feel totally stable. There is a reason they are so fast around a track. Once you throw it around a few laps, you almost forget your in a 5k pound Jeep.
