If Jeep decides to make a rear-wheel drive Grand Cherokee and put the Hellcat motor in it because the driveline cannot handle the power, then I will not be buying one. The only way I will buy one is if it comes in AWD.

Sorry but when I supercharged my 08 Cherokee that was around 600 hp even in AWD it was ridiculous in snow and ice. Your abs, ecs, blah blah takes a major shit. Nice vehicle but not gonna work for people in winter unless locked down to where they are now 400 hp.

Oh, why'd did you have to post this? I would buy one....I would upgrade the driveline myself. There goes another 80k presumably, thanks Billet Hellcat. I was thinking about getting a 2015 SRT Jeep. Now, I will just save and wait.

--That's just someone's concept drawing, not real.
--there is NO HELLCAT JEEP planned for 2016 or 2017. Not until at least the next-gen Grand Cherokee.
--SRT nameplate only on Dodge's now, so no more Jeep SRT, that's where the Trackhawk comes from.

Love the idea of putting the Hellcat engine in the Jeep, but calling it Trackhawk really????

SRT is now reserved for only Dodge products:
Viper, Challenger, Charger, Dart (in progress), Journey (in progress)

08 Jeep SRT* is the WORST snow vehicle EVER! I had one, and is was brutal out of the box on snow! Now have a 2012, and it works like a charm on snow!! COMPLETELY different than my 08! I was tempted to remove the Jeep emblem during the winter on my 08!!

I agree with you 100%. I don't care for the name at all. If Jeep names it Trackhawk, then I will be forced to debadge for the first time on any of my vehicles.

Why not call it the Jeep Grand Cherokee S/C. S/C stands for Supercharged. I prefer just the letters as opposed to being spelled out. Maybe the / is the color red and the S and C chrome.

Because it's not supercharged. 6.4L Hemi is the Trackhawk engine for now. Maybe a Hellcat in the next generation Grand Cherokee.

trackhawk sounds fine with me.....wish Chrysler would make its mind up with SRT......first its everything, then its its own make/brand, then its only for Dodge

How? What happens? All reports I've heard are they do just fine in snow, supercharged or turbo or NA.

How do you know? Just curious. RS here has said no, but of course I would assume he has to.

    Still not buying it...

1st gen WK SRT8 does great in the snow.

I am under no restrictions ;).

I've seen the 2016 GC lineup, there is no 6.2L listed. 2017 is the final model year of the current generation, it would be cost-prohibitive to bring out a 6.2 variant for a single model year. Besides, SRT has their hands full trying to keep up with the supply demand for the Challenger and Charger 6.2's.

Why do people always have to question or know someone's full life history??? Like I have something better to do than post blunt facts.....that would be completely false to my knowledge, just for the sake of posting them.

While we are all human and may make a mistake passing on info from time to time, let me reassure you that where I get my Jeep info from is a well respected source ;)
