So I did my first oil change at 1500 miles and have been enjoying the HC. I noticed the other day that I had some oil on the floor and thought it was leftover from the power steering fluid that sprayed out the cap when I was at the track. So I mopped it up and went on my way thinking that was it. I again noticed that there was a small amount of oil on the garage floor so I put her up on the ramps and pulled the cover. I have an oil leak someplace on the passenger side of the block. It's not coming from the drain plug or oil filter so I know I the oil change is not to blame. Most of it appears to be coming from the back motor mount but I can be sure because it's just tracking back and getting all over the place. So now my brand new car is going into the shop for a oil leak. Guess this is what I get for getting a first run high performance car....FML!

How many miles on the car now? How did you break it in? I would not be so quick to to blame it on "first run high performance car". I have a 08 SRT8 Challenger #904 and my 2015 Hellcat Challenger #904 and I've never had a single problem with either. Perhaps the track time came to soon. Check the owners manual for full break in requirements.

Hope you get it sorted out soon.

Don'T throw the Baby out with the bath water just yet, the sky is not falling it might just be a small oil leak that the dealer can fix in no time. Don'T give up the ship just yet.
I am just saying all cars have problems my mom's Benz is on a waiting list to get in the dealer to have repairs done.
That being said I hope it nothing big Bro.

I did the proper break in. And I had 2000 on it when tracked it. The manual says 1500. I'm at 2300 now.

I can sympathize with you I know how you're feeling I've been a drag racer for years and seems like when motors make that kind of horsepower they're always tearing up something  life in the fast lane

My car may blow every gasket in it the next time I drive it.When I picked my car up at the dealer it had 3 miles on it,I asked the sales manager how to break it in and he said just like your going to drive it,give it a few miles for everything to get used to one another then drive it like you stole it and thats what I did.I have had 0 issues out of anything,no codes no leaks, just a crappy radio.I feel very fortunate to have been trouble free for 4700 miles, always let it warm to operating temps plus let it cool down before shutting it down.Good luck finding the leak,I'm sure its something small.

Going in Tuesday morning to have her looked at! Now I just gotta hide the oil leak from the brother in law who's coming into town this weekend and is a huge Chevy fan. If he finds out the Cat is leaking I will never hear the end of it!

The exact same thing is going on with my cat after its first oil change. Only 936 miles on her. I won't be able to get it in until next Friday. Out of town.
