From a 55mph pull. Cut off around 145-150. Both stock cars, stock tires. This is the first video, working on getting the 3 good clips compiled. Check back soon! Oh, I forgot... there was a 5.0 mustang in the mix... i don't guess i have to explain what happened to him :p

Camera car is A8, white car is M6

    FILMED ON LOCATION IN MEXICO.

This was obviously sent to me by a friend.

I'm sure glad others are willing to take this on. That would be one bitchen ticket, if they could catch ya. It looks pretty close to me. The A8 has the advantage, but the M6 driver did a great job keeping up.

    Somebody's gotta do it :(:(:(:cool::cool::cool:

From what i heard.... it was really close. Kinda hard for the A8 and M6 to find a good meeting point MPH wise, but I think 55 worked well. Driver of the M6 really did a good job. Or so a little birdy tells me.

I red line from the 2nd to 3rd shift thats why the car all of a sudden gets a fender behind then starts pulling back.

The other races I was between a Fender to half a car in front.

M6 won last night for sure this was for all my m6 owners lol

Great racing cool guys glad we finally had a chance to match these two cars up can't wait for you to post the other videos.

    The best a m6 did today at a 1/2 mile shoot out was 150mph I (A8)clocked a 160mph another A8 ran a 153 as best.
Disclaimer I did not race ether one and did not see there time slips.

Hey Mike, glad to see you! Had a great time... hearing about this stuff ;)

This video was not to show me winning, the main point was to show how close the cars were from 55 to 150. The other 2 clips were from a 40 roll? Mike, do you remember? At 40 he is able to get half a car length and hold it until 150. The A8 needs to be at 55 really at most to drop into second. Maybe there is a way to meet in 3rd?

by racing a M6 at 55mph you lose all the advantage the A8 has.....why do that? your not really proving anything by it

race it from 0mph and you would most likely be way ahead of the M6

growing up a street drag race was at a stop light 0-100mph

I love to drag race and was kinda bummed at my times with my six speed. I know I wouldn't be happy with an auto. This video kinda redeems my feelings for the hand shaker. most of my miles are from street driving so this makes it better in my mind.

That video does show clearly what the auto shift does against the other. The M6 was accelerating within its range, the auto not only shifts but gains against the M6. So it goes 1-2, more 2-3, more 3-4, all while the M6 loses ground each time with its own respectively slower shifts. Not saying anything else it shows what happens in an acceleration contest btw the two.

OhioTj----if i gave you a 0-60 with my A8 you would change your mind about your M6-----not shifting gears is boring, but doing what i can do 0-60 vs what you can do with your M6(most likely) would totally change your perspective.....

at the track the 1 time i raced a M6 i pulled on him the whole time....he started out ahead and i was ahead by 1/2 a second by the end......not saying he was a great driver, but im not either..

show that same race 0-100 and every M6 would be in tears if both drivers are equal.....

I disagree. Racing involves shifting and power to the ground and torque band and drive train loss and a whole lot more. So here we see the m6 putting a little more power to the ground as it gains but losing during the shift. Not every race starts at 0

i agree not every street race starts at 0, but to give a true race it would......like racing a GTR...all its advantage is from starting at 0.....race it at 55mph and its like canceling out $20,000 worth of AWD......to each his own opinion, but a 1/4 mile is the only proper way to judge in my opinion...for a street race 0-100 or 0-60 is.....you can start any race at any speed to give one side an advantage...by starting at 0 no side gets an advantage...the better car wins

For sure next time we'll see what's a better point for us to meet in the middle where we both are happy with.

I had a awesome time lot's of fun and still looking forward to the other videos .

I hit the rev limiter in that video witch causes the fuel to cut out which is why the car starts losing a little bit of ground then comes back strong.

On the other races we were dead even till about 120mph+ then i started to pull ahead.
