Found a dealer that is willing to sell at MSRP, $1k deposit and they seem honest. Based on the very foggy info regarding allocations, would anyone that knows more than I do recommend for or against this? i know it will be several months regardless, just trying to get a feel for the 'boat' others are in at this point.

And FYI I plan on having a very long and detailed discussion about their sales and such (past 90 days and such), if they are getting allocations filled and so on. However they could easily lie to my face and I'd never know... any dealer could I guess.

If there is any truth to what's been said about no new orders being created then you should probably focus on finding a car already in production or on the lot.

If they can get you a new VON and you feel comfortable with them, go for it. You're either going to be in VON hell with a bunch of us or buying a car that's already been cleared for production. The dealer sounds decent to me... But who knows?

    Good luck!

I would not do It. find one that is on the lot. just look around on the board. you will see many people have been waiting for month. I hate to say it but might need to wait until next year order bank open.

Good Lord. I've heard it's bad in Canada. Sorry about your luck, that really sucks.

I just called my dealer, they advised that since it is all up in the air, they are going to go ahead and place my order (they just confirmed they could) with no deposit and sell at MSRP. I'll obviously shop around but at least that's something.
