I noticed if you rev during park it bounces off 4k, Why is this? Is it rev limited at other times as well?

My friend noticed this behavior in his charger scatpack as well.

    Tried searching, no luck

Hmmm, I'm not entirely certain mine exhibits this behavior. It's late now, so I'm not going to go out and annoy my neighbors, but I'll check into this at my next opportunity...

More B.S. From the software people/dodge...
The dreaded babysitter sounds like when in park,
    I hate this!
I wonder with a diablo tune this can go away...
When in park so you can free rev if desired?
Wondering if this is only on the automatic,
Or in the manual too ???
    Far

Why would you want to rev it in park past 4000 rpm?
For that matter even up to 4000 rpm in park?

Because this would be old school, not that you would
Necessarily want to but I am sure OP has his reasons.
I am sure this is only in autos, how else would you rocket
Launch a manual and burn the clutch lol

Free-wheel rev'ing an engine is not good for it - best that safe-guard is there

Quit revving it like a dork, no problem.

Why in the hell would you want to rev it higher than 4k anyway?? Silliness.

Unless you're THAT guy at a car meet that has to rev the guts out of his car to draw attention to themself.
