For the last couple weeks I have been driving the HC in 707hp mode. Just trying to really get used to the power and its handling. I do a lot of highway driving to and from work and on Monday I put it back in ECO mode just to squeeze some MPG out of it (I find I drive more rational in that mode). Anyway I went to go around someone on the highway the other day and was STUNNED that I could tell the difference between the two! In 500 HP it felt like a pig! In 707 HP it never needs or wants to accomplish anything! I never imagined there would come a day that I could say 500 just isn't enough. I remember growing up idolizing the 1988+ Mustang in all of its 225HP and thinking there could never be more... Who would need more. Yes I know there were Ferraris, LAMBO's, and Panteras, but at that age those were just posters on my wall and nothing I ever witnessed on the roads.
    How far we have come!

It is amazing. As a teen I had posters of the 1997 Dodge Viper GTS. I was able to buy one about 10 years ago and it was an amazing vehicle and I never thought I would ever own something more powerful or outrageous. Well, welcome to the era of HELLCAT...

I've never once put mine in 500hp mode.

I take that back... once. When I let my wife drive it.

But never when I drove it. No point lol

I agree technology has come a long ways and I too never thought I'd own a machine like this. And like Bandit I've never even used the black key even when I drove her home from the dealership the cat only recognized the red key and once I got home I put the black key and the spare red key in the safe. I love my cat

It's funny you mention the 88 Mustang. I bought an 86 200 hp GT then was pissed they raised it to 225 in 87 lol. It's crazy how your perception changes

500 works really well on cold wet roads like below 50 degrees, which you may not see much in Florida.

Or just don't press your foot as hard on the go pedal. We aren't using 700hp even in 700+ mode unless we really ask the car to do it...ie pressing the pedal to the floor

My buddy had a Viper and I used to drool all over it. Yes welcome to the Hellcat era. As much as I hate to ask, where could we possibly go from here?!? It seems as impossible as it did 20+ years ago that the Mustang could be beat?

My wife loves the black key. I don't know if she has ever driven at the 707 mode. I think she also might use eco mode with the car, that isn't confirmed though. She has her own Civic but adores the Hellcat and drives it whenever she can, even with it being neutered.
