Hello all. My name is Steve, I am new to the forum but not new to modifying and tuning vehicles. I recently traded in my 850+whp C7 vette (parted out of course) for a 2016 PCP A8 Challenger. I love absolutely love this car.

200 miles on it so shes just a baby but I have already started with a few basic mods to wake it up a bit and have all of the parts break in at the same rate. (3.09s, Aluminium DS) and the mid muffler delete because they were sitting WAY to close for comfort with the new driveshaft.. sounding even better was just a bonus.

I do have a few questions regarding the platform:

I have a hp tuners pro console from my c7, I know this will need a new ecu for the car from hp tuners, but is this the best current tuning suite for the car? Should I sell this and move to Diablosport or SCT. I like to make my own adjustments while at the track so that would be a must.

Looking for 9s without taking the car apart too much this fall once the air gets better, can I get there with a 2.85 pulley on stock injectors and slicks or radials? Most likely doing the MT et street r radials but have not decided on the 17s or the 18s.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

    Steve

Welcome to the forum! I'm new myself but I do know form spending hours on here the recipe for a 9 second Cat is no secret. Search for Linda or TopCat and they post their exact parts combo from HHP. One even has all the parts linked. Let me see if I can find it quick.

2 Hellcat Challengers Break into the 9s - Torque News

Josh/HHP/Diablo vs FL HP. Tuners not sure who the tuner was and their Hell Cat was a one hit wonder.

SCT who is SCT JK but no real data around here.

With HHP your Hell Cat definitely will Bust into the 9s and can do it over and over ;)

We had lots of fun with Josh at the track testing parts and progressing his tuning.
The Fastest Hell Cats are all out of HHP.

Lucky you, HHP is in Smyrna DE is not that far from NJ.
    Linda :)

HI Steve, I went 9.94 @ 138 with just a 2.85 upper, a 3.09 differential, slicks, and a tune on MS109 from Josh at HHP...

So will I. Stellas minimal mods have the best bang for the buck and lowest risk to the car when seeking 9's I've seen. Bravo.

Oh bud, I ordered 3.09 last night ($1300 shipped - I'll post once I know that it's real-deal haha) and Tom is always on my tail (Here's something for you lol)...

HHP Tune, 2.85 pulley, 180 thermostat, 3.09 on the way ... Mickey DR already mounted on 17X10 weld wheels

Don't forget to pin the lower crank pulley. It's not too hard to do with the right tools. And the 180 deg Thermostat.

Tuning is the greatest issue on the modern hemi, if you have not done one find a good tuner, Josh @HHP Diablo, Tim Barth uses HPT, AJ HemiTuner, stay away from SCT they are two new and no one has a proven tune.
