So, most threads I've looked through on here are about the A8, and I know it's the faster of the two, but I'm looking to make my 6MT make the Hellcat name proud. So I have a few questions.

First, what all can I do to the car without busting warranty?
Second, does the 6MT have the same Driveshaft issues as the A8 with Drag Radials?
Third, does anyone know what the max torque/hp the 6MT drivetrain can handle before serious upgrades?

Thanks in advance and I look forward to being an active part of the forum!

1st-Almost nothing g power related. You want power; warranty it's put of the window.
2nd-no/not yet. Why? Because the clutch doesn't hold up, once the clutch hold up I would say yes.
3rd-a lot.you will break a lot of things before you break the tranny.

What about the clutch doesn't hold up? This is the first I've heard of clutch issues. And I'm not so much asking about just the tranny so much as the whole system back to the driveline. For instance, once the driveshaft is replaced, does anyone know the next point of failure and where it comes into play?

Just search clutch in here and you will se. I replaced mine 6K miles in my car.
In autos, drive shaft, then axel, seems the components breaking in that order ussually.
In M6 I know one that put BBG upgraded clutch and he broke his axel.

The clutch holds up just find. The 6 speeds will break the drive shafts just as fast a the A8's will.

6,500 daily driven miles on my clutch and it is just fine. We have sold at least five 6 speed cars at my dealership and all but 1 has come back with a problem and it was clearly user error.

I'm more just looking at what I'll need to replace before going for power mods and a tune. Not that I'm planning on shredding my warranty just yet, but hey, who knows how long my megalomania will be held at bay

Then.they are slipping the clutch more than they should instead of letting it dump. :)

I know the argument....the A8 "leaves harder". Automatics are usually softer on drivetrain parts due to the converter absorbing some energy. The M6 will leave just as hard if driven correctly. The only thing that may save the drivetain on the Hellcat is the tall first gear that is in the trans.

You should see my box of broken parts from years and years of drag racing high hp manual transmission cars. I use to have a spare trans for my Mustang always built and ready to go. I have broken everything from driveshafts, axles, input shafts, etc.

I haven't broken the Hellcat yet due to I haven't put it on the track yet.

That's my point, you will not, trust me. Many have tried in the forum and you will not. Stella putted Slicks and what happened dumped the clutch and clutch fried.
With an upgraded clutch I could see some parts breaking, but not with the OEM clutch. No way...

    1) Clutch (trust me, that's the 1st,thing)
    2) DS
3)Axels. I posted that in my 1st post. It's what people are breaking.

Let me know when you do decide to track you Cat, if you have the 6MT, I'd be very interested to see that slip since you seem to know your way around the dragstrip

In Stock tires seems to be fine as long as you rest the car. Put some DR and clutch doesn't like them.

On drag radials or street tires?

Was the clutch brunt or did it explode?

Ask stellas... It was his car... in mine, I just could not shift into 4rd or 5 or reverse easily anymore.
