So first time at the track with the Hellcat and had a blast! Our track elevation is 2372' and with the temp/ humidity/ etc... DA was 4930' It was a pretty hot day for around here :) This was my base run before doing any changes to the car and on the stock P Zero's I got a best of 11.45 at 123.6 MPH. Launching it was the toughest!!! I tried being on the stall and would always smoke the tires. Best was to leave off idle and just roll into it with dropping the tire pressure to 20 psi. Average 60' were 1.91- 1.94 sec but on the best run I got the 1.86. I also noticed that the performance pages were generally around 0.1 to 0.2 slower than the actual ET slips. My buddy with his Sublime Hellcat was running 305 Nitto's and had a best of 11.25 sec. My first change will be the one piece aluminum driveshaft to see if there is ant ET change from that, then the Micky Thompson Drag Radials. I'm hoping by the end of the year I can have a time slip that touches the 10's... Oh ya, Ran 11 passes in 90 minutes too..... Had to get back to work- LOL!!!!

Not bad at all. About what mph until you were at full throttle?

I would say probably 30 MPH was full throttle... Just after I got out of first gear. It seemed that if I tried to be all in before I shifted, it would be too much and started to spin. If I can drop the 60' times down to a 1.6- 1.7 time with the DS and M/T's that should put me close to the 11.0's on the top end :)

A8 or M6? Drag radials will make your biggest difference. I have a set of Nitto NT05R in 315's and ran a 10.91 at 127 back in May. You need your 60' times in the low 1.60's. Get the drag radials and wait for 65 degree weather. If A8, you will run 10's.

Yes its an A8. Wondering if anyone has tried both the Mickey Thompson and the Nitto's on the same car??? I've never used Nitto's before and I know M/T work well. We really get screwed here in Canada. Nitto's are around $350 each and the M/T are just over $500 a piece :( It be nice to save the $300 if there is no difference- otherwise I'm going with the M/T's

I have the Nitto's and pulled a 1.63 60'. Don't think the MT's can do much better. Not to mention I only made 7 total runs to get that! I think I will do better next time out (September, with cooler temps). Get the NT05R's and save the $. The drag radials should give you .4-.5 off your time and you will be right there in the high 10's! Good luck and keep us posted.

Thanks, That's good to know! I know most of the 275 racers use Mickey Thompson that why I was I'd like to hear from anyone that might have tried both makes of tires. My buddy with his '86 Stang has had a best of 1.23 - 60' on his M/T 275/60/15 Drag radials.
