well I have been smelling gas the last week when my car idles. Anytime it is just sitting it smells of fuel bad. So I call the dealer and request the fuel recall be repaired. They agree but can NOT get the part from dodge since they have one in stock but it is already allocated to another customer to be used in his Hellcat in a few days. Well I call Top of Care at FCA and *****. It gets the job done and they expedite the part.

Anyhow, drop car off today and I come to find out, when they were doing the recall that they found a bad fuel leak in the line where it comes from the tank. This was the cause of smell. Not the recall. Now I have to wait until SRT approves the part, from pictures, and sends me a new fuel line. In the meantime, I'm stuck with a Town and Country mini van loaner. At least the radio sounds better than my challenger. Lol

Anyone else had this issue. Also had a 1524 code thrown on the way to the dealer. It was just oil viscosity at a minimum. No biggie.

Aren't they doing the fuel mod on the new ones coming off the line? I think I recall that cars built after a certain date won't need it....does 3/10/15 ring a bell or was I just having a HC dream the other night?

the fact my dealer cant get a simple fuel rail since sometime in April has me concerned about future warranty service should it be needed.. I really don't like it being in the back of my head that my car might go up in flames as the recall states.. every time I drive my car!

What a shitty feeling to drive it to srt event down south (shortly after recall came out).. the whole time wondering if it will catch fire..

Freight train, have you called srt, and have them get this to a higher level,, they have helped others,, this is truly a great car,, and I'm sure srt and dodge don't want owners feeling like they made the wrong choice of cars
