He admired my cat for a few and asked a lot of questions and then asked me to do a rolling race.
It started to rain so not going to happen today. He had Nitto's,otherwise stock, I have all seasons.
Should I do it or is this a set up?

I do not race on the road. Track, maybe. Are you sure that it is stock besides the Nitto's?

Go for it ! , have some fun with it. Forget about the "save it for the drag strip crowd" . That's all just being politically correct. all of us would go for it on the street if conditions are good. Nobody normal buys a car like this and never rips it once in awhile to show off or beat up on some other fast cars , Its what they were built for and we all know it. drag strips are great talking points, some fun, but dead, over, and closing all across the country.
In reality the street is where we live.

I used to think My GT500 was fast until the day my Hellcat came home. no low end on the GT 500
It takes too long to get them going. once they are going they are pretty fast.

Could not disagree more. I do not race on the streets and I see the consequences of it on a daily basis. When you need to tell the parents that their kids die because of that, believe me, it is not funny anymore. But hey, if you want to ruin somebody else's life, go ahead.

What F6F saying is true. I've seen bad accident in my life and you don't want to be part of that for just a showoff race with a GT500. We always say that these kind of thing happen to everyone except us and next thing you know ... bang. We have powerful cars and with great power come great responsibilities.... like spiderman haha

I know you mean well but this kind of fear mongering drives me crazy. You do not see this on a daily basis, not even remotely close. There are not even 365 fatalities from street racing in the entire United States in a year much less your city alone. There was an entire generation who did this infinitely more times than we ever will and in far less controllable cars yet it's not like that era was known for the mass amounts of death that ensued. Obviously I'm not saying people should head out to their nearest busy street and attempt a street race but the reality is while the street racing can be dangerous, those dangers are grossly overblown.

I will gladly invite you to a ride along so you can see it for yourself. Dying is not the only consequence of bad driving. You are welcome to come to our police station and see it first hand.

And because of me or somebody else telling an adult that he/she is a freakin' a-hole for doing what they are not supposed to do is not going to change the world or the a-hole's behavior, that is a fact. But it's my nature and I need to say it. Imagine if people listened to the "don''t drink and drive"? hahaha
