Preface: I've had TCU reflashed as per TSB

This is happening more and more to me. Happens almost every time I take my car out. I'll be in the 35-39 mph range softly switching into 3rd and the car violently shifts into first putting it at 6000ish rpm. Always in manual mode.

Wtf- this has happened now 12-15 times. Really getting annoying and can pose a serious safety hazard. Car has 1200 miles.

Take to dealer and show them since it happens all the time, don't just drop it off. Have a tech go out with you.

Really wish it was that easy. My commute is 60 miles or so. Happens once a day. I'd need the tech to take a bunch of time

I am using the paddles. I'm going to video my next 20-30 launches until I get it.

You're missing the diagnostic point. Disable them and use the shifter only and see if it happens, testing glitch in trans SW or paddle shifter OR human error.

Gotcha. Will do. Definitely not human error. Don't get me wrong, I make tons of human errors, but it's impossible to down shift when your hand is not near the left paddle. Right hand, right paddle, upshift only.

:p:D Keep us posted I definitely wouldn't like being downshifted to 1st to gain momentum automatically  I wonder if the computer is overriding the manual shifting electronically
