If you are looking for more performance out of your A8 need to get the 3.09's rear deferential.
It made one hell of an improvement. A must do for the ones looking at doing a tune and still on the fence about the warranty.

Will you get to the 1/4 mile at some point?
Like your graphics BTW. Gives it a race car look.

I would like to think so. There not much that the rear deferential can effect, the axle and the drive shaft are my biggest worry but the drive shafts are a known problem.and i will be replacing it in the next week or two. Plus it is a mopar part installed by a dealership. So I think that I will be ok .

What was your speed in the 1/2 mile? I feel the 3.09 will only make a difference with the stickiest of tires, and a lot of those are "frowned" upon at high speed events...

The 1/2 mile my best was 160.2564 With stock summers, they did say that DR were allowed. And had to do a self inspection. So they're not as strict as some.

The is the route I think I will be taking. I wonder what gear this will put the car in going through the traps... top of 5th is ideal.. if it shifts 6th, I don't think it will see an ET improvement

I'm thinking that top of 5 gear will be 138 to 140

Hey Fast cat, how much higher is your cruising rpm now on the highway? Say at 70 or 80mph. Do you have a video yet of you on it going through the gears? I'm definitely thinking about doing this when I get mine

I think the numerically higher ratio should reduce the driveshaft load by a small amount. Need an engineer to work out the numbers.
