I generally like to set the car to "Sport" configuration, move the shifter to the manual gate, and drive with the paddles. Car's fully broken in (>1500 miles), and I followed the instructions to the letter.

My car will occasionally downshift when I pull the right paddle. You're reading that correctly: it will DOWNSHIFT when I'm asking for an UPSHIFT. This has happened at RPM's throughout the 2000 - 3500 range, in a variety of gears. It will also (sometimes) ignore a 1-2 upshift command.

Anyone else experiencing this behavior from their auto trans?

Somebody else had that problem, in one of the threads, maybe trying searching for it...I can't remember, sorry.

Sounds like a paddle shifter issue and I'm not a fan of them. When I get my car they will be set to off.

At nearly 3,000 miles, I've never experienced this and I use paddle shifters a lot in manual mode.

Are you in Sport mode, usually? Or another setting?

    Thanks for the info...

I mix it up between all three depending on what mood I'm in.. Never had an issue. Only time I've had unexpected shifts is if l didn't actually move the shifter to M and after a bit of inactivity it goes back to normal D mode. But those of course were upshifts that were done unexpectantly, not downshifts. Maybe the TCM flash will take care of it..
