To you lucky people who currently own and drive a charger Hellcat while I wait in D status limbo, I have a question about what you experience when accelerating hard. If you removed the engine sound factor and the visual cues, are you aware of the acceleration by virtue of push back into the seat or g forces pulling on your face. I ask this because I owned the current cts-v and because it was so insulated there was little feedback, other than visual, of its performance. Actually it proved quite boring a car with little entertainment value (EV).

I was just asked that same question yesterday.. It does have that insulated feel. Drag radials will give you that push back in the seat. For somebody that has never owned a car with this much performance potential, then yes, it will be sensory overload for them... I have owned cars this fast and powerful, so I too was concerned with developing that ho hum feeling. I think that is why I chose the M6 over the A8.. To keep me engaged and interested in driving the car.. I know that isnt an option for prospective Charger owners, but its just my Challenger experience.

In fact, EVERY person Ive taked to who owns one of these cars and has owned something similar power wise in the past, has said they "expected more"... On the contrary, owners that are new to the "700 club" all say the car is "insane"...

The relentless push that starts to give you the tunnel vision effect is good for me. Not many cars or bikes can do that for you :)

I completely agree. Just like turning the traction control off." Oh my gosh I was scared" c'mon. The car is extremely fast, but controllable. I have had cars with drum brakes, and bias ply tires with 500 and 600 hp. Now that's scary

Agree totally, car is far from scary, handles very well, and gives a very nice "feeling of scat" when you want it to.

The car won't be a let down. It's a bad ass car with big time power, but it's also docile. I think there are people who buy this, because its a production car, and are scared and blown away because they used to have a Ford Focus. To them it's gonna be like a Top Fueler. But in the real world of performance cars. It's a fast bad ass production car. Don't get me wrong it's fast cool and all that. Depending on what you are accustomed to, it may be a little different. It will not be a disappointment.
