Hey all, I know a few months ago AFE was claiming an Air intake to give an output of +37hp. Since it has been released has anyone installed one on their car? and have you noticed a big difference in power? thanks

I think they are planning to do them back to back on the same day. Stock then swap for the intake.

Wasn't it going to be a couple days apart per their recommendation of giving the PCM time to relearn?

It would be better if a dyno could be run immediately after install and then again when the PCM relearns.

I'd like to see if there is a difference and if so, how much.

Not only is HP supposed to be +37, but I believe the TQ is supposed to be up over 33 lbs. as well! All without a tune.
    We shall see! :D

I didn't know the PCM would need to relearn. I thought it would be a install and go? will there be a noticeable difference once it relearns?
    These PCM's are almost humanlike...o_O

Just like the trans etc, with the Mass Air etc, think it just takes time to re-learn and adjust

The PCM is making changes every second the car is running, I have no idea what this 150-250 mile learning thing came from:rolleyes: the way this test should be done is to let the car come up to operating temp 203 and make a pull with the stock OEM unit, then as the car cools down make the switch and repeat, lots of guy's run the first test hot and then dead cold to get the high differences they post up.
When done this way everything that effect HP will be the same, temps,DA, as little that can change as possible..
