For the guys doing the od balancer swap. Take the fan out the bottom after separating the coolant hose from coolant line. Let the system drain. Use a steering wheel puller to pull the old balancer off. The steering wheel puller gives plenty of room and works great. Cut at least 5 eights of an inch from A/C boss that is in the way. Then the new balancer will go right on. If you boil the new balancer hub for about 5 minutes in water it will go on way easier. Put the hub on first and then fit the balancer to the hub making sure there is enough clearance to install the belt. This engine has NO key. The new balancer has a groove for a key, which is not used on this engine. Knowing what puller to use and how much to remove from boss will save hours on the install. For the people that live in a high altitude this is a great piece to put on your car. You WILL love it.

    Great tips and detailed photos!

Did you change the pulley on the SC as well?

I don't even have my HC yet, but....someday, this might come in handy! Thanks!
