Seems the tangible benefits of replacing the original steel with an aluminum DS are outstanding.

    Questions:

    1. Why do you suppose the SRT engineers didn't incorporate this from day one?

    2. Are there ANY associated drawbacks with an aluminum DS installed in a Hellcat?

    Thank you !

    i just ordered mine

i think Dodge has to know they have an issue.....but if they suddenly make a change for 2016 or 2017 then how would the 2015 guys feel???.

ill bet if they up the HP for 2017 they will upgrade the DS then.....right now its admitting a mistake, which they wont do.

Ford gave the 13/14 GT500 a carbonfiber DS for a reason.....Dodge cheaped out and didnt...your trying to keep the price under $59,999.....your going to skimp....the engine is from Mexico, etc.......the car is what it is....its a cheap/fast car.....Dodge made some decisions on what to put $$ into and what they could get away with....the A8 isnt far away from being over powered by the engine either....

some report .10th better times with the new DS.....too many have changed over for there to be issues with them not reported yet....

not much of your car is made in the USA

it may look like a classic american muscle car, but its a Mexico and Canadian car with less than 10% USA??/ something low like that.......i believe the rims are from China

how do you think they can do all they do for $60k? a full size car with 707hp and a warranty.....

maaaabe.....i know they were making a plant here....so you may be correct........1 major part manufactured by non-3rd world country.....ive seen the video of the engine plant in Mexico on HOW ITS MADE back in 2011....its a very impressive looking plant...all modern, workers dressed perfectly......then they show Brampton...looks like a WW II era plant and the guys just wear what ever and look like they hate their jobs.....looks like the guys the wipe their buts on the walls....and flick boogers into the paint booth..............and thats why the paint sucks and the fit/finish is often off.......but the engines seem to run good

not much $$ there for the united states of america

its a north american car......but doesnt create many USA jobs....nothing i would brag about thats for sure....my GMC truck is also made in Mexico.....the full size 4 doors are all made in Mexico, but the 3/4 doors and shorter are made here in the USA....

Trump talks about all the auto makers flocking to Mexico......now ive brought politics into it, but it is true
