I have had thoughts of having my hellcat repainted Stryker Red after it arrived . I asked Body Shop I like a lot price was better than I thought . Am I crazy ...possible adhesion problems less durable .... Chance for damage or overspray . Guy knows I am fussy . Would an excellent shop be able to do near perfect job ... Very similar to factory quality and durability . Stryker Red is Barrett Jackson Hellcat color ( viper color oem). Thoughts ?

I'm not one that is worried about preserving stock build so, I would say do what makes you happy. With that said, if Chip Foose said he was going to trick my Hellcat out, I would let him do whatever he wanted. Make it yours and enjoy! Many will say you risk value, repaint doesn't last like factory, etc. any good shop will warranty their work...enjoy!:D

If you watch the video on the car, it started off black, and two guys painted the entire car, If it was not crazy price to do it, Why not,, That's what its all about making it your own...

I was at Barrett Jackson and saw #001 in person and it looked amazing. Go for it, it's your car.

I really wanted either Toxic Orange or B5 Blue ... been giving serious thought to having Dante painted (I want Toxic Orange baaaaaadly). The only thing that gives me pause is the fact that I have to find a shop that I trust to put my car back together and have it work properly. Makes me nervous, to say the least.

Having a car painted is all about the prep, The only thing coming off the car would be the bumper covers, gas cap cover and I would think rear spoiler and front, Seems like if you have a good shop, then I would entertain it

I really like Pitch Black but if Stryker Red was available, I would have gone with that, hands down!

if you want to spend $20k on a paint job or whatever it costs go ahead....i doubt it makes it worth $1 less and may make it worth more....if the car becomes valuable in 30 years you can always paint it back...odds are in 20-30 years it will need a repaint anyways

The cost is 6500.00 I figure it will not help or hurt value of car if it is done properly . Thanks for encouragement . It will have no impact on value if done extremely well . Great Forum friendly people ! I need car then I will update you!
