I drove the car to church tonight (should have known better "Hellcat @ Church") and everything was fine when I pulled into the parking lot. After church, while walking to the car, I hit the remote start so everyone could hear her fire up. It worked, I got everyone's attention and the people started to gather around to admire the "Hellion".

After running for a couple of minutes, I cut her off so everyone could finish their conversations. When I cranked her back up and started to back out, I didn't have any power steering. The street light was out in the parking lot, so I thought I would drive down the road about a mile to the gas station where I would have good light to look things over. Before I could get to the station the temp gauge shot up and the temperature warning came on, so I pulled off the road and down the street about 100 yards to a church members house. I looked under the hood and had him start the car and no belts were turning. Suddenly, I remembered another thread where a member here had the same problem. I looked down at the crank pulley and it was cocked sideways and I realized, IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN.

I called Chrysler road side assistance and they are supposed to have it towed tomorrow morning.

It's going to happen to a few... Hopefully the dealership takes care of you... Mine did & provided me a loaner for the few days in the shop getting paint touch ups & a body massage. Driving an H/C there & a Journey home was a swift kick to the nutz, but it beat walking...

Man, what a bummer!!. I think the last person that had that happen here got a complete replacement motor (I think). Hope it gets resolved quickly. Let us know how you make out.

Having taken the crank pulley bolts out I can tell you they are a *****, torqued to like 235 ft lbs, so one fall off is not common, buy spinning on the crank would be very common, a major mistake from Dodge engineering on this item.

Anyone know if there is a running change or TSB for this? Maybe even a plan for pinning the new 2016 engines?

Car is in route to dealer. Dealer service department is overloaded. They say it will be the end of the week or first of next week before they can even look at it.

Not sure of the build date, but it was delivered to the dealer on 7/10/15 and the vin is FH834366

Maybe they will do a recall and pin all of our crank pulleys.

Agree 100%. If it fell off it simply wasn't installed / torqued properly (probably has an inspection dot on it too...that someone put a torque wrench on it to check it). How times has this happened now? Believe the early truck V10's had the same problem...
