There was a dark blue HC Challenger running at Cecil last night, first time to the track dead stock and twisted his shaft on the fifth pass, I think he had ET St drag radials.

No stock M6 has twisted a shaft yet as far as I know.....The A8's launch harder and that's why they are having issues it seems.

Who are you guys using for the DSS driveshaft install? The dealer? I have a weak selection of speed shops here in Northern, Virginia

The dealer tells me that an aftermarket DS will void any warranty on the transmission and rear.

Guess, the question will be, how many DS will need to be broken before Dodge changes the stock DS to a stronger two piece or one-piece .Dealer also states that if they pick up your car from the track, they won't warranty that either.

That's why i want to get the new 1 piece before my stock 2 piece fails. That way if i do need to go in for any warranty work thats major, put the stocker back in.

Just a thought, but I wonder if traction control is attributing to the problem.

For example, when in sport mode, traction is disabled but brakes are still applied to yaw changes. So, you don't get PCM spark trim etc but you do get brake intervention if it starts going sideways.

I cannot see how TC could be attributed to a drive shaft failure; distribution/transference of energy between the rear wheels occurs past the drive shaft.
