    Are they more of those clear plastic stickers? I didn't even notice those, but if you have them I am sure I do too...We really need someone to tell us the purpose of these...My theories are becoming more and more crazy!o_O

    They are put there because of issues with sandblasting that can occur along that edge with sand and grit that comes off the front tires.

    If you notice porche and other companies have had them on their cars for a long time now. They are clear strips to prevent scratches or chips from accruing in high risk areas. Porsche also puts them next to heat vents to prevent the heat from affecting the paint.
