I have had an antifreeze smell since day one . After pressure testing the cooling system nothing was found . Never had an overheating issue but continually smelled the stink in the car especially when it sat in the garage a couple days . I found a small 4 inch puddle under the car 2 weeks ago soooo back to the dealer. FCA had them pressure test the block.....it FAILED . It appears its a blown head gasket on the left bank. Waiting on the final word from mom mopar but the dealer says ill get a new motor.

Holy s**#. That's the first head gasket failure I've heard of. Great if you get a new motor for a blown HG but a little surprised.

Dealer just called to inform me the heads are being pulled and sent out to check for cracks per SRT ......thinking if its just a head gasket their motor swap will turn out to be head gaskets only......never easy is it. 6000 miles......guess I'll still have 94,000 more.

If you PM ResumeSpeed with the last 7 of your VIN, he can tell you when and your production number. The production date should be on your drivers door tag.

Yup, I highly doubt you will get a new engine for a HG or even a head for that matter

Knowing what "normal" anitfreeze smells like, would you say that your smell was normal, or does/did it have more of a burnt plastic/foul smell to it?

I hate it for you buddy. It stinks. This is also the first and only head gasket failure that I've hear of, well, there are
two listed in this thread but I've had lots of issues with my soon to be replaced car but not this one.

Best of luck to you, I hope that it gets taken care of very quickly and no other issues arise.
