Not highly modified Chargers, but Chargers with drag radials. Or is this localized to Challengers? Same parts, sure, but different car. I've seen posts of Challengers DS's going, but Chargers?

I ask bc some road bolts have forced my hand to buy new rear tires.

...and I'm leaning towards Nitto NT05's. If anyone is curing running these on the back, I'd love to hear your opinion. Looking for decent compromise between straightline grip and every day use (I know, impossible).

In for answers. But I'm guessing our chargers will snap a two piece drive shaft as easy as the challengers. Just less chargers out there to hear from....

I cant remember any Charger owners posting a drive-shaft break but it would not make sense to think the Chargers wouldnt have issues since both cars are so similar....I wouldnt trust the Charger OEM drive shaft if I was tracking with DRs...

My thoughts, too. Only ~800 Chargers in 2015, but I'd take at least one documented case as gospel.

You could step up and be the guinea pig and the hero...hopefully when it breaks it doesnt take a lot of other parts with it...

I'd rather note. Ha. The NT05's aren't DR's but reviews indicate that they're certainly stickier than stock. So if anyone has experience with them on a stock HC...

I'd get Nitto 555r's (for a DD) or Mickey Thompson ET Street (for the track) on the rear....the NT05 will not hook well with 700HP....this car needs DR's plain and simple...

Far fewer Hellcat Chargers out there and even fewer go to the track relative to the Challenger. I think I'm the "typical" Hellcat Charger buyer: Looking for an "ultimate" family car for an enthusiast, but not likely to track it vs. the Challenger buyer, who's after the muscle-car retro vibe in a more serious way.

From what I understand the Charger wheelbase can hook it up a bit better than the Challenger and there's absolutely no reason to believe that the shaft won't also be subject to the "twist & snap" if you go with DRs and other mods along with it.

If we are only going by documented then I've not seen 1 Challenger breaking DS with 275 DR (20") or 17" or 18" inch tires either. Most of the video or pictures are related to 305 and 20 inch tires... However I know that DS is the weakest link if you are going to track.
