Would be interested in knowing whether there are any guys out there that have sold or will be selling their CTS-V in order to move into the Hellcat ?

I had a CTS-v and traded it off for my 12 R/T Charger. I was glad to get rid of the POS! I had electrical problems and my local Caddy Dealer was terrible. Honestly, there is no match for a Mopar and if you are trading for the Hellcat, not an even match. Cadillac might have a few more luxuries but if you are looking at a muscle car Hellcat has all the options you need and 707hp says it all!

Thanks for your input. Much appreciated. However, would be curious what year CTS-V you had ?

2010 and it was the sedan. It was a year old when problems started. I cannot complain about the ride or comfort. I just got tired of having it in the shop all the time and as indicated, the dealership can have a significant impact on your experience. I knew I would never own another Cadillac or Chevy after mine and I had friends with similar problems. We now have had 4 Dodge's and our local dealership is awesome and aside from general maintenance, I have spent very little time in the shop. If you are unsure as to whether you want to give up some luxuries for power, you might want to wait until your local dealer gets a Hellcat and if they aren't all sold, you might get to drive it.

I had a first gen CTS-V as well and it did have tons of squeaks and rattles and I was worried when I raced it that the diff would eventually take a crap as that was very common on them. (Wheel hop, etc)...

Didn't own it for too long though.

I currently own a 2011 CTS-V automatic and I love it but have no plans to get rid of it just to get into a Hellcat. I'd like to have both if the car insurance isn't too high.

Having both would make for an interesting start to the day, as in deciding which one to take to work? !

I have a 2009 and mentioned elsewhere (think) that I will definitely switch over to the Hellcat Charger. The Cadillac will probably sticker for almost $70K, and they haven't even announced it yet. The ONLY hitches will be if they want a premium over sticker, slow delivery, or not being able to get exactly what I want. I had a Mercedes AMG on order for months, they couldn't deliver (and of course tried talking me into something that I didn't want), so I got the CTS-V.

Look at you guys with the modern muscle. I was contemplating a CTS-V or a SRT. I currently have a 72 Vette for fun. It has a 350/350 crate motor until I go through the original engine. It is no match for modern muscle and certainly nothing close to a Hellcat. This is going to be soon much fun!!

72 is the best. Small back window and chrome bumpers. One of the last truly classic Vettes. I love them. Great year and car, good choice.:D

Just for the record, my 2009 CTS-V had no issues that others had. I just turned 50K, track the heck out of it, and all is well.
