I have a Hellcat on order and trading my jeep and need to get it down there ASAP.

Hellcat is not built yet and the dealer wants my trade first and I have other cars so it is easier to give it to him now. Don't want to drive it and then fly right back.
With gas so low and tons of cars moving north for the summer their has to be some open spots going south now.

....another person giving their vehicle away before there car is even built. Simply foolish, especially in these turbulent Hellcat times.

Any dealer who requires your trade now, is an unethical one. There is absolutely NO reason the dealer should be requiring your trade now, before your vehicle is built or even on site. If they claim they have a buyer now...too bad, not your problem.

Of course, you'll still give it to them and not heed this warning because I'm just a fool on the internet who has no idea what your situation is and how it makes sense, so to that I say, don't complain if your car never shows up/isn't built/takes months to get here and you're out a Jeep and have to then find out how to be compensated.

Lots of shady dealers in FL, I'd be VERY wary of giving them your trade before the Cat is in. If it's Airport Dodge - RUN - even if they get your car, they will jack you big time on ADM !!!!!!

The dealer is Fields Chrysler and the salesman is 100% ethical and they own 40 plus stores. He is NOT making me trade the car early but of course every month the value of the jeep drops and I have other cars. I am still waiting for a VIN # to be confirmed too.
Thanks for your thoughts, I appreciate it. I trust Smitty at Fields Chrysler and everything will be in writing and the car was MSRP too.

If FCA throws their hands up and says "F--k it, no more Hellcats." Will you be fully compensated for trading your Jeep early? If you can't find a ride and still don't want to drive that far, look at the Amtrak Auto Train.

why would they do that? The price to ship does not warrant driving or taking the auto train.
    Thx

Oh, ya Smitty.... He's the guy that just moved 3 M6 cats on this site. Seems like a good guy.

I agree with Tannehill about not trading early but your vehicle your decision.

I'd drive it and fly back but that's just me. Best bet is to call several auto haulers and see what they can do.

I've never dealt with them myself, but have heard lots of good things about them. Seems they are in that "rarefied air" of FL dealers who actually care about their customers & conduct their business in a professional & trustworthy manner.

Spoke with Smitty and he is a class act and a MOPAR guy. Of course he has to wait for FCA to build it and confirm all the details but I trust him 100%.
