    Hey Guys,

As I was photographing my Hellcat being towed away :( I took a lot of photos and noticed something with my hood wrap. Where the vents / intake are, there's a gap forming. Almost like there's a small small space between the wrap and the vents. Makes it look like there's a tiny white line going around those areas. Because the hood below is naturally white.

Is this normal? I send photos to my installer and they are offering to reimburse me. Does anyone know of a place in the NYC area that does good hood wraps? Will this happen again? I just don't think they did a great job.

Photos here...You can see the white line around the vents and especially on the center scoop. Thoughts?

did they remove the vents during install? looks like they cut around them instead of tucking it under the vents......

Ugh. Poor install, they didn't remove the vents. Hope that they didn't run a blade across your paint.

Did the same on mine last week , they took the side vents off but not the middle one . I ripped it off when I got home it looked really bad . If you take it back they will try and fix it but chances are they will stretch the material trying to fix it and it will look like this .......

That plastic grille for the center air intake pops right out. I wonder why they removed the extractor vents but not the intake grille. Hmm

I had mine replaced hree times. Every time it was the area of the vents. My vents were removed and it was wrapped inside. Expel finally decided that they think these hoods have to much heat and it was what was causing the lifting, bubbling, and curling where the edges looked to be rolling back. My third install done by the Xpel corporate office where they finally decided to cut out around the vents. It's been almost two months and no issues. (Knock on wood). I know there has been plenty of heat on the hood since then. As I picked her up straight from San Antonio Corp office and drove to Charleston SC. My previous two wraps usually only lasted a couple of weeks before I had issues with them.

So what's the verdict? Cut around the vents, or remove them? Can people with hood wraps post close ups of these sections? I do agree that these hoods get SO EFFIN HOT that bubbles and other cracks will appear on the vinyl.

vents must come off so the vinyl can tuck under the vent areas , if your installer try's to stretch what you have now it will look like the pick I sent earlier . It's gotta be redone completely for it to look good .

The extractors and scoop must be removed, simple then wrap it.

removing vents makes total sense. Sure hope they didn't cut into my paint, but I am always going to have this white hood wrapped, so not THAT worried about that. Looks 10x better with the black hood.

Yes Agree with the guys above.
You must remove vents and inner scope bezel.
    Otherwise you will have issues.
