It's been nagging me ever since I bought the car.

Issue #1: The right door clicks every time I open and close the door. I noticed it was some sort of dark gray styrofoam that keeps getting sucked in somehow. It's locked between the door and the fender if you have the door open.

Issue #2: Going either forward or reverse when turning your wheel completely to the left or right, you hear clicking.

I brought it up to the dealership today for a blown tweeter and mentioned these 2 things and they would need the car for at least 2 days saying the forward reverse clicks would need to be looked at. And the right door issue can't be fixed(I looked at him and just smiled). I was pressed on time so I didn't want to argue.

I made a follow on appointment for the tweeter once it comes in.

My question is, is this normal? The issue may seem minimal but I don't think it should click. It's loud enough to for others to hear outside. Do you have the link?

I will second Ron's posts. The two piece rotors click, especially noticeable at low speeds, enjoy your new hi-perf race car.

Both of my doors especially the passenger door also have something going on like you describe. When my back feels more flexible I will lay down and watch mine. I bet someone else will help you with that before I get motivated. I do not think you have a problem there either.

Haven't looked on the Challengers, but I know on the 08 Charger there is an insert behind the fender edge near the door. You can't get to it from the wheel opening because of the wheel well liner, but that is how it's installed

It's basically just pushed into place and keeps engine bay air/wheel well air from blowing back through the huge whole behind the fender at the door area. If you look in by the hinge area you can see it. Don't push too hard. It'll pop right in behind wheel well liner, but it can be adjusted/moved if interfering.

It is normal for 2 piece rotors to click at low speed while turning.

You want race car brakes you deal with race car noises. The clicking on the 2 piece rotor is normal.

The foam just push that pack into the fender it will eventually find a permanent home where it wont push back out. When I first got my car I was always having to push it back into place but eventually it found a spot where its jammed in there good.
