Just curious how many waited for the 1500 mile recommended break in before going to the drag strip? If not how many miles did you have when you went?

I went at about 600 miles.I have been several times now and have a tune,I now have 3900 miles and have had zero issues.I have been 1.58 60ft on factory drive shaft, upgraded now to aluminum though.
I am going to the track tonight for the southeast shindig,I am testing a new part that I will report on afterward.

I personally feel that if you ( anybody ) is going to have problems,it won't be because of the drag strip. It is totally random.

Get some drag radials and go beat the hell out of it,you will love it!

went at 900 and had a blast at the strip, drag radials are next. I'm looking for some 18 x 10.5 wheels to put some Mt 305 x 18's on. I found some 10 in but was trying to plan ahead and case i want to go bigger.

Nice thanks guys. I mean hell they open up the launch control at 500 not 1500 for a reason right? I have used it a few times and I'm impressed. Now I want to see how she does at the track and don't want to wait for 750 more miles.

By track I think SRT means wait till you have 1,500 miles before taking it to a road course track and lapping the snot out of it. Drag strips are little different than you going WOT for 11 seconds on an open highway or open street. I'd wait till you have at least 500 miles on before going to the drag strip, but don't think there is any need to wait till 1500
However, your engine will be a bit more broken in at 1500+ miles than 500 and you may see a slight improvement in times because of that.
I think I went when my car had 1,100-1,200 miles on it. Only made 3 runs and essentially matched SRT's pro drivers already (I did an 11.3) but I was also had a DA of 1670 feet .
With a sea level DA like they had 11.2 (or maybe even high 11.1's) would of been in the bag.

LC was a piece of cake to use! Hit the button and follow the directions on the screen. Super easy.
