Just curious. I don't let my dog ride in the car bc of hair and drool all over, but since I got the car, I don't want to drive in my wife's truck, so we end up taking the dog far fewer places. I'm just wondering if any other folks are bumping up against stuff like this.

Took our 2 with us last weekend. Blanket in the backseat for one, wifes lap for the other. They are both on the small side ...about 20lbs, don't drool and have little hair issues. They are part of the family and go with us if the destination is suitable.

I ran into this problem with my Longhorn Laramie due to the special leather.

I ended up painters taping all of the stitching so the drool wouldn't discolor it and had a heavy blanket in the back so our basset wouldn't scratch anything up. Worked out well in that truck, but everything in it was brown and her hair blended in. The HC is black and wouldn't hide her hair at all if I let her ride in it. No go for the HC.

My muttley's go everywhere with me. That being said the 50 lb girl sheds like there's no tomorrow and the 80lb lab drools more than the Alien so a big no in the HC. I did take the lab out in an S8 and planted him in the seat tho:D

LOL to all above... I have a Basset-Beagle mix who sheds and drools like there is no tomorrow.. and if I don't stop in first 7 miles for him to relieve himself, he will poop n puke... NO WAY is he getting in the hellcat.. too much of him transfers in already.

Interesting. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one not letting the dog ride. She's a 70 lb lab who sheds white fur all over like crazy, and the interior of my Cat is black. I used to let her ride in my old Charger, which black inside too, but cleanup was an absolute PIA. Guess I'll have to try to get used to riding in the truck to get her around.

We were thinking about taking a trip to the beach in a couple weeks and bringing the dog along. Now I'd love to take the nice drive out to the beach cruise around in the Hellcat, but if the wife wants the dog to go, that pretty much takes the Hellcat out of the equation. I don't know if I can manage with a big blanket or something. Just hate to not take the Cat to the beach..

I have no pets but if I did that would be a hell no.

We have a road trip planned to my next powerlifting competition in August with my buddy and his wife and he was talking about bringing their dog.

    I'm like no way.....

Gonna have to break that news to him tonight.

I let mine ride in MzKitty but first they must have a bath and be brushed, second a towel goes down in the backseat and third they have to wear their seat belt. I find the seat belt that attaches to their collar and buckles into the seat belt keeps them from roaming in the car. My shin tzu's if left unbuckled like to go back and forth between the front seat and back seat.
