What a disgrace! I know where that's at off beach boulevard but I'm about 45 minutes from Huntington Beach. How sad! I hope they find that guy. The video made me cringe a bit.

    Huntington Beach Police Department

Felony Hit and Run suspect from the McDonald's parking lot video arrested.

A special thank you to our Facebook fans and Twitter followers, and all the local news media that covered this story helping to get the video out to generate leads and clues.

Our investigation took us to Signal Hills where the suspect vehicle, a grey Dodge Challenger with paper plates, was located and subsequently impound...ed. As the investigation continued, the driver from the April 22 hit and run was identified. Our investigators obtained an arrest warrant for felony hit and run charges for the suspect. Since follow up investigation is still continuing, specific details of the investigation are not being released at this time.

Through his attorney, Taylor Kirby, a 24 year old resident of Signal Hill, arranged for his surrender at the Huntington Beach Police Department last night. He was arrested and booked into the Huntington Beach city jail. Taylor Kirby, booking photo attached, posted bail and was released from custody with a court date of June 30, 2015.

Thank you again to everyone for your assistance. Community policing and #LESM (law enforcement social media) working together for #HuntingtonBeach.
