    Hi guys!

Couldn't find anything on the topic. So like the title says. Did anyone just swap out there mid mufflers with another brand muffler with good results? Instead of just doing a mid muffler delete.
Looking for a bit more volume /rumble over stock and nice deep /throaty sound ......

I'm suppose to get my mid muffler delete and also add a custom made h pipe this week and want to make sure I'm making the right choice.

Interested in peoples results that have done this.
    Thanks.......

Subscribing as I have the same interest.

Perhaps an h-pipe plus a deeper tone with an aftermarket muffler of some sort.

Well hopefully there's someone who has done this.
I did get the idea for the Custom Fab h pipe with muffler delete from another member here. He is very happy with his set up. Says there's no drone it's not as loud as the stock xpipe and muffler delete and it's quite a bit deeper not as raspy.

So more then likely just going that route. Just wanted to see if anyone at all did a muffler swap instead with good results.

Just a bump here... to see if anyone has done this at all???

As a reminder that is.. replace stock mid mufflers with a more aggressive muffler, for deeper sound and some more volume...

    Anyone??

I might be the only one on the board that loves an exhaust that screams, rather than rumbles up top. Not my first big American V8 - and it certainly won't be my last - but I've had some great European cars too and I think the HC has a wonderful mix of low and high end noise. Higher pitch is a great thing, when done right. The HC does it right.

But, to answer your question, hahaha, try: Zoomers, or Solo, or a Flowmaster in the mids.

Yea that is the ones I would look at , but just wanted to know if anyone has done it already.
Just replace the mid mufflers and leave everything stock. Want to know if it changes the sound for the better or worse.
Better being a Tad louder and deeper over stock form.

I think you misunderstood my post man. Not looking to quiet it down at all. Want it a Tad louder and deeper.
Also my car in no way has drone in it's stock set up.
It sounds great stock, just want a Little more.

Then do it my friend. Just pick the mufflers you want.

Well thats the idea of my post. To see which one to pick, so I don't have to do a guessing game.
For example I don't wanna pick up some flow master mufflers if there going to be lower in volume or not sound as good as the stock mids.
Thus why I wanted to see if anyone has done this.
Thanks for replying though, all replies are welcome and help me that much more to making my decision

I had a thought, but it might not be practical. What if you tried to put in one additional x pipe and leave (or remove) the mid muffler. I think there is a video somewhere that Corsa did something similar on a vette and it eliminated the raspiness but was still loud.

I also wondered what it would sound like by adding a Magnaflow Tru X muffler in place of the factory x pipe or in addition to the factory x pipe?

To tell you the truth man I don't know that I'm willing to experiment that much with the exhaust with adding extra xpipes and what not.
I would love to do the Zoomers exhaust cause I feel it's the best sounding cat back and has no drone. I just can't justify the 1500 dollar price tag, mainly cause the stock system is really good all ready. So it seems like such a waste of 1500 bucks.

I'm pretty much down to a few options. Here they are since I can't really get much feedback on my initial post above.
    1. Muffler delete.
    2. Muffler delete with replacing stock xpipe with custom Fab hpipe .
    3. Magnaflow Axleback

The Magnaflow is looking really good, I just wanna make sure it doesn't drone. And I'm not sure on the quad tips, if I would want to loose the stock tips (like those).

    Decisions decisions....
