Just curious if anyone has taken a tuned Cat in to the dealer for service? Did you flash it back or put the stock PCM back in? Did they notice? Just curious. If and when we can flash our cats I'm wondering if they will be able to see it without looking deep into the PCM and if they will even look for it. I've had tuned cars in and just flashed them back with no problems in the past. Thanks!

I thought it was said early on that the mileage will be different in PCM versus cluster/modules. Along with other info on starts, etc.

I would guess if they figure it out you're done.

I thought it was speculation not fact. Figured enough time has gone by that someone has confirmed it or not. Makes sense to me. Hopefully a handheld will be available this year.

Yes if they figure it out your warranty is finished

Well ya that's why I'm asking if anyone has done it yet? You hear all the time that they can void your warranty but very few actually do get it voided. I have heard of more diesels having it pulled or red flagged than cars.

Yep, sent Linda's Charger in for the recalls and was not an issue, but we do a lot of business with these guys and it wasn't for any breakages caused by the tune.

If we break something I fully expect to pick up the tab...if tune related

See people this was what I was asking about. Did you swap back in the stock PCU?

They probably would not notice unless they were looking for it. Then, it would be obvious.

I know recalls are treated different that actual repairs. I removed all the emissions (urea tank, EGR etc) off my 2011 GMC Duramax and they never had an issue with recalls. Funny though, most of the dealer work on these is realated to faulty emissions equipment..

It's really going to depend on the dealer. My previous 2012 SRT8 was supercharged and I took it in for service a few times with no issues. At that time, they had a performance shop on the grounds. If you can find a dealer that's mod friendly, for the most part, you'll have a better chance of less issues.
