So I thought the A8's come with Adaptive cruise control? The 3 buttons on the lower right side of the steering wheel are blank. Did I miss an option?

Nope, they supposedly don't have room for the required sensor to install the adaptive cruise due to the extra cooling requirements on the Hellcat.

I'm talking about the adaptive CC. Car lengths etc... I was just reading the manual and saw the section on ACC and assumed it was standard on all with the tech package but then I got in my car and boom.....blank :(

LOL., any more tech in this car and it would be delivered standard with a RIO.

Doesn't have it. I wish it at least came with the mirrors automatically tilt in reverse.

When looking at the sensor for it on Durangos and Challengers and stuff it looks pretty large even though other cars have this same tech and don't have an obvious sensor like that it seems... Maybe I'm just not looking at other cars closely... o_O My thought was perhaps they missed an opportunity to put the passenger-side turn signal lens to use; if the driver's side is hollow for ram air, the passenger-side could contain the sensor. Not sure if it HAS to be centered for any reason, but it would be right in front, and not at all obvious.

    Any SRT engineers around?

I believe there are multiple sensors for the Adaptive Cruise Control that fit in the bumper cover. Because of the Hellcats added cooling features there wasn't room for the sensors... hence we don't have ACC on the Cats. Here is a video on how it works.
